I put together this little game-day, Super Bowl Party Foods post to give those of you who join me in rejoicing in the privilege of eating gobs of dips and bites of yum all day long, my favorite ideas for party food on the upcoming day where boys throw around a brown, oblong ball.
No offense intended there if football is your jam, just stating things from this blissfully ignorant point of view. 😊
Let’s start with finger foods. You can use egg roll wrappers to make the yummiest packets of deliciousness — savory or sweet! Our favorite is Cream Cheese Stuffed Fried Pickles. They are over-the-top amazing!
Southwestern Egg Rolls with Bacon are a finger food packed with chicken, bacon, beans, and spices and make an easy-to-grab showstopper. Fun to eat and fun to serve!
Or make them sweet with warm, silky, gooooozy hazelnut-chocolate dripping down your chin as you bite into a crispy shell fried in coconut oil and packed full of warm banana. I mean, does life get better?
Of course, you can always make a pan of THE Mac and Cheese and earn yourself hero status.
How about my newest favorite appetizer recipe that makes tiny little bites of your favorite customizable cheeseburger flavors with my Cheeseburger Meatballs? Each bite is such a delicious, easy to eat savory treat stuffed with cheese and decorated with all things cheeseburger.
Or add this herby dip to the mix and freshen everything up with some dippable veggies. Dill Veggie Dip is packed with flavor and whips up in just a couple minutes.
You want dips? We are dip nuts at our house. I have plenty to choose from in my Recipe Index, but let’s start with Superior Smoked Whitefish Dip. It’s a crowd-pleasing dip packed with lemon, dill, garlic, and the star of the show: flaky, smoked whitefish.
Spice things up a bit with Bacon Ranch Jalapeño Popper Dip! The heat of the peppers combined with tangy cream and Cheddar cheeses plus the spice of ranch and crunch of bacon make for one heckuva yummy addition to your tortilla chips!
Tell me you’ve had my Dill Pickle Dip! Is this my family’s all-time favorite?
I’m not entirely sure. Because our go-to is Creamy Garlic Dip that we make almost every time we get together, and made the best when I make Homemade Potato Chips fried in coconut oil (so no greasy, fried-food regret).
Four Cheese Spinach Artichoke Dip, a classic, everyone-friendly dip that you can make in a bread bowl for extra dipping pleasure!
Must-have Mango Salsa is a Suuuper easy way to add another fresh element — but good luck staying away from the bowl! Use frozen mangos to keep it even simpler!
Need main dish ideas? (Don’t worry — desserts ideas coming right up!) In my experience, a soup is the perfect way to go for a crowd. Choose one everyone LOVES like my Cheeseburger Soup and it not only fills all the food gaps, but is a simple way to serve a meal if you keep it on low in the crock pot or instant pot!
You’ll never go wrong in a group with Cheesy White Chili, either. It’s so very tasty and filling. — loaded with white beans, chili, and pepper jack cheese. Simply a win every single time I’ve ever served it!
Keep this Pepperoncini Beef in the crock pot with cheese and buns next to it and you have the ideal fix-and-forget-it gap filler!
Or take tacos OVER THE TOP with maybe my favorite meal…? You can make a taco bar with all the fixings and beef or chicken taco meat (easy Homemade Taco Seasoning here), but then add in this Pork Carnita meat and they won’t even know what hit their face! Seriously, this is the best taco you’ve ever had.
And now for the sweet stuff!!! If I were having a super bowl party, I’d start right here. Fried Ice Cream Nachos are off-the-chart delicious and super fun to serve on a big platter! All the notes of fried ice cream — cinnamon, chocolate, caramel and cinnamon crisps — but perfect to serve a crowd!
Or make a sundae bar with all the toppings and bring a jar of the most amazing, warm, chocolatey Homemade Hot Fudge (the famous Occidental Hot Fudge, of course!) you’ve ever had in your life. Even if their team loses, they will leave happy after having eaten this stuff.
Whip up a big batch of this Homemade Caramel Corn for munching! Buttery and sweet, it’s super simple to make and always a hit!
Tami’s Banana Bars make a huge pan to serve a group, and these oh-so-soft, sweet banana bars with a decadent vanilla frosting just tend to make everyone happy!
Jeanne’s Fudge Bars also make a huge batch and these addictive dessert bars with a chewy oat crust envelope a soft, fudgy center that will make you the most popular kid at the party without a doubt.
You want to bring the showstopper? You’re not going to find a more fabulous presentation than this beauty! This is the recipe you choose when you want folks to swoon. Steel Magnolia’s Chocolate Cherry Cheesecake is a decadent and creamy chocolate cheesecake encrusted with two kinds of buttery, chocolate crumbs and layered with cherries to make a delightful dessert for any special occasion.

Once upon a time, there was a girl who just wanted creamy, cheesy mac and cheese. Not full of spices or fancy things, just plain ol’ gooey mac and cheese. As such, The Mac & Cheese was born. Alison's recipe has become our claim to fame—standing strong as the Most Pinned Mac & Cheese Recipe on Pinterest.
