Garlic Bread Sloppy Joes -- Cheesy, garlicky, crunchy and satisfying, these take sloppy joes to a whole new taste and texture level of yum! | thatwhichnourishes.com

Move over plain ol’ sloppy joes. There’s a much tastier version in town!

It’s as easy as your favorite garlic bread, plus super-simple sloppy joe meat baked with goozy cheese on top. It’s the easiest, yummiest dinner you’ll make this week, and if you’re like us, you’ll be making it again before you know it! You can make it with homemade garlic bread or your favorite store-bought garlic bread! You can use whatever cheese you have in your fridge (we like Cheddar or American). But I’m telling you, these are special!

To begin, chop 1/3 c. of onion and brown it with 1 lb. ground beef — no need to drain the grease unless there’s an excess.

To the browned beef and onion, add in the following ingredients:

  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 T. vinegar
  • 1/2-3/4 c. ketchup (depending on how sweet you like your sloppy joes
  • 1 T. yellow mustard

Preheat your oven to 350 and line a rimmed baking sheet (10 x 15″) with parchment paper or foil. Prepare your garlic bread by cutting it in half horizontally and opening it on the baking sheet. Use a spoon to create some indentations down the bread to help hold the meat. Spread the sloppy joe mix down the center of each half and then top with slices of your favorite cheese — we love American the most and love to get it in the deli section at the grocery store.

Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the bread nice and toasty. Cut into slices and serve! That’s it! Easiest meal ever!
