Perfect in its simplicity, this three ingredient dip is classy and delicious.
We first ordered this loveliness at our very favorite restaurant ever. And then ordered it again, and then I just had to make it. I’ve now been making and serving this for probably 20 years and it’s just one of the most delicious things we make and enjoy at our house. We rev it up with the addition of Homemade Potato Chips. Not sure snacking gets any better than this!
And did I mention THREE little ingredients? You can’t count salt, right?
Fully adjustable to the size of your crowd, this doesn’t get any easier to make.
Here’s how:
For a typical batch to serve 4-6, I use 8 oz. cream cheese and 1 tsp. minced garlic*. Put them both in a small saucepan on low to medium-low and let it get all melty and hot. Drizzle in milk until it’s the texture you want for dipping. Add a pinch of salt and taste. Add more garlic or salt to taste. That’s it.
No, really. That’s it. :o)
Serve with potato chips of your choice — our favorite is a spectacular batch of Homemade Potato Chips — want to know how? Click here! Otherwise, kettle chips are our second favorite, but any chips will do.
*Note: the garlic taste will intensify as the dip sits so give it some time before you add more garlic and then more garlic. Unless, of course, that’s your kind of thing. :o)

Thanks for the request, Carrie! I’ll add it in the next day or two. Once the weather is safe, get potatoes and refined coconut oil. I’ll let you know what to do with them. :o)
