Quick entry for you.
On a cold day like this with the wind just howling outside, nothing makes me feel better mid-winter-day than a cup of coffee. The problem is that to me, coffee is not worth drinking without chocolate in it and some whipped cream on top. I’m also not going to drive or pay for that cup of coffee when I have everything right in my very own house and can make it in two minutes flat.
Here’s what you do.
Squirt some Hershey’s syrup into the bottom of your mug. The amount is up to you, but I would guess that I use a couple Tablespoons. Add in just a touch of vanilla, a little shake of ground cloves, , some cinnamon and a bit of sugar (I use a teaspoon or so of my yummy raw sugar).
When I need a change of pace, I add peppermint extract instead of the vanilla and cloves, and get a yummy, peppermint mocha. Now, fill your mug 2/3 full with coffee and stir, stir, stir.
If you’re like me, the whipped cream is the best part so go ahead and fill the mug the rest of the way with whipped cream from a can. Drizzle with a bit more Hershey’s syrup.
Oh, yeah, baby. You just perked up, fixed your chocolate craving, got whipped cream on your upper lip, and saved five bucks all in one beautiful mug! Enjoy!
