Seriously, this is one of my new favorite things. My friend, Melissa, made these for us recently and I fell in love. So much so that I try to keep the ingredients on hand because I crave them. Why do I love them? Let me count the ways…
Four ingredients, no baking or cooking of any kind, everyone friendly (picky people, you don’t count this time), even kids can make them, negligible prep time, and don’t forget the YUM!!!!!!
To make them, just assemble the ingredients just before you plan to eat them! I love Triscuits with dill to start. Smear a bit of plain cream cheese on top, or ramp it up with same herbed cream cheese if you’d like. A bit o’ cocktail sauce on top of that and a chunk of fake crab! If you happen to have some perfectly steamed crab legs ready to go, by all means, be my guest, but I tend to be more of the imitation-crab-in-a-package kind of girl so it’s what I use.
And, feel free to improvise. You can change up your crackers, your flavor of cream cheese, add spice, whatever you’d like, but I’m telling you, simple works this time.
That’s it! Lovely to serve, yummy in your tummy!
Thanks, Melissa! See why I love her?
