Serves: 4 svgs.
Grocery List
1 loaf garlic bread
1 lb. ground beef
⅓ c. onion
½ tsp. garlic powder
½ tsp. salt
¼ tsp. pepper
1 T. vinegar
½-3/4 c. ketchup (depending on how sweet you like your sloppy joes
1 T. yellow mustard
6 slices cheese (American and Cheddar)
Here's how...
To begin, chop ⅓ c. of onion and brown it with 1 lb. ground beef -- no need to drain the grease unless there's an excess.
To the browned beef and onion, add in the garlic powder, salt, pepper, vinegar, ketchup, and mustard.
Preheat your oven to 350 and line a rimmed baking sheet (10 x 15") with parchment paper or foil. Prepare your garlic bread by cutting it in half horizontally and opening it on the baking sheet.
Use a spoon to create some indentations down the bread to help hold the meat.
Spread the sloppy joe mix down the center of each half and then top with slices of your favorite cheese.
Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the bread nice and toasty. Cut into slices and serve!
